My Story

I fit the minority story. I was born and raised by a single mom in New York City. Worked my way through college. After graduation, I went into the military as an officer in the U.S. Army. I made it through relocations and deployments, then transitioned to corporate America. Though doors continued to be closed in front of and around me, I made it my mission to adjust, adapt and shift. I ultimately launched my own business, furthered my education and experienced successes and failures along the way.
But I have come to the realization that nothing is as fulfilling as actually starting, growing and succeeding at my own business. As a result, I have made it my purpose in life to help other’s who feel some sort of disadvantage realize their business dreams and successes too. To that end, I am focused on filling the gap between where you are now in your business and where you need to be.
Oftentimes, we let circumstance, situations, or even society dictate our path. This, however, can lead to disaster. On this site, my focus is to take you beyond your circumstance in order to realize your dreams. It is a process, but it can be achieved. How do I go about doing this? I’m glad you asked. I achieve all of this by partnering with you individually or a group setting, seminars and workshops, and speaking at various events and companies.
When I am not writing, coaching or speaking, I am either growing my business or in the classroom. I am also an Associate Professor of Business and Entrepreneurship; I teach courses in entrepreneurship, business, management and organizational behavior. You can connect with me here or learn about how to work with me individually or in a group setting.  Before you leave, be sure to sign up for all of the free resources that will help you on your entrepreneurship journey. I’d love to share them with you and keep you abreast of the changes in the business world and how they will impact you. Just click the button below and I’ll drop them right into your inbox.
